DALTON SMITH FIGHT WEEK! ⚡️

Dalton "Thunder" Smith, born on February 8, 1997, in Sheffield, England, is a professional boxer competing in the super-lightweight division. Standing at 5 feet 10 inches tall, Smith has rapidly ascended the boxing ranks, showcasing remarkable skill and determination.

Smith enjoyed a distinguished amateur career, securing multiple national titles at both junior and senior levels. Notably, he clinched a silver medal at the 2014 European Youth Championships and a bronze at the 2015 Commonwealth Youth Games in the lightweight division. In 2018, he won the ABA Championships at light-welterweight, further cementing his reputation as one of Sheffield's most successful amateur.

Transitioning to the professional arena in May 2019 under the promotion of Matchroom Boxing, Smith made an immediate impact. He secured the British super-lightweight title on August 6, 2022, with a sixth-round technical knockout (TKO) victory over Sam O'maison. Demonstrating his prowess, Smith defended his title successfully and went on to claim the Commonwealth super-lightweight title on July 1, 2023, by defeating Sam Maxwell via a seventh-round knockout. Although he vacated the Commonwealth title a month later, his ambition remained undeterred. On March 23, 2024, in his hometown of Sheffield, Smith captured the vacant WBC Silver super-lightweight title with a fifth-round knockout of Jose Zepeda.

As of January 2025, Smith maintains an unblemished professional record of 16 wins, with 12 victories coming by way of knockout. His journey reflects a blend of technical skill, power, and strategic acumen, marking him as a prominent figure in the super-lightweight division.

This weekend Dalton “Thunder” Smith is fighting for the European Crown, as he takes on (19-2) Walid Ouizza in Nottingham. Smith comes into the fight as big favourite, as many see it as an underwhelming opponent, but the main objective for Smith is that European title, and the push in the rankings, which could see him fight for a world title in 2025, or at least get that #1 spot.
